Our Approach to Piano Moving
Experienced Hands, Fresh Energy
At VVM Piano Movers we bring years of combined experience in piano logistics and removals. We have worked with every kind of piano, from uprights to concert grands, and we understand what is involved in transporting something that delicate and that valuable.
The Importance of Piano Tuning
Your piano sound reflects its soul, and even the slightest shift during transport can affect its tone.
We work closely with professional piano tuners and we understand how delicate tuning is. That is why we offer optional post-move tuning, so your instrument sounds just as good in its new room as it did in the old one. We also explain the environmental changes, like humidity or temperature, that affect pitch and resonance.
Fully Insured and Professionally Equipped
Peace of mind matters when you are transporting something as valuable as a piano. We carry full Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurance. Our vans carry professional padding, piano dollies, ramps and securing systems, so any job can be handled safely. Whether you are moving across town or across the country, your piano is covered, literally and contractually.
Customer-Focused, Stress-Free Service
We know that for many people a piano is more than an object. It is an heirloom, a memory, or the centre of the home. So we put communication, punctuality and careful work first. We guide you through the process from booking to delivery, and we do not leave until the piano is exactly where it needs to be.
Family-Owned, Always Accessible
As a family-owned business we can offer a level of support that larger operations cannot always match. Whether you have a quick question or you need help planning a move, we are available through the day. You will not be waiting on hold or routed through a call centre. You will be speaking to somebody who knows your booking.
Goods in Transit and Public Liability cover on every move. Open monday to sunday, 8am to 9.30pm.

Unbelievable experience with these guys. Received a quote within 10 minutes. They managed to squeeze us in, and moved our piano by the next day. From house to house, the whole move was done within an hour. Friendly and polite guys.

Really great and efficient piano removals service. Lovely guys and great value, they handled the very old upright piano carefully and swiftly through our tricky hallway. And Oleg the piano tuner was brilliant and very kind! Super happy with this team, would definitely recommend.

Fantastic service. Amazing skills and strength getting a very heavy upright up narrow stairs and around two tight bends.

The guys came nice and early, very punctual. Very friendly. Very helpful. Had to take a baby grand piano from the third floor. They must have been in and out in 10 mins. And put the piano exactly where we wanted it in the new place. Highly recommend! And not overpriced!

Great service - great communication - great price. I couldn't decide where my Auntie's piano would go and VVM made it very easy with a fixed price to three different parts of the UK. Moved the piano with no problem to a location in north Wales that wasn't the easiest/fastest place to get to.

William and Matheus did an excellent job delivering my piano from Dulwich to SE1. They managed to get it up 5 flights of narrow stairs efficiently!! They screwed in a piece that unattached as it's a very old piano. They came prepared with a screwdriver and screws and all is well.

They were brilliant. Swift, polite, very careful with the piano. I will most definitely use them again. So, so pleased with this service, particularly in comparison to the company who moved the piano for us beforehand (they were slow, struggled with its weight and scratched the floor).

I believe there is no better company in London for transporting pianos! These guys have no frills, they put a grand piano on top of the Big Ben roof if you want. Amazing work! You can hire them, they will put your piano in the most difficult place with excellence!

Excellent service - was able to book in a long-distance removal of a grand piano the same week. Great communication and updates along the way. Was able to safely transport piano on a stormy night in the dark with no issues - great job, thank you!

These guys were phenomenal. My piano is a very large and heavy upright, that they had to move from a 2nd floor flat with no lift and narrow staircases - to a 2nd floor flat, with no lift, and tight head height. Needless to say, the three men worked like crazy to get it moved and well and truly earned their money!

VVM Piano Movers moved one piano to our house and collected another for disposal. They were highly efficient, and took lots of care of both the piano and our house during the removal. Would definitely recommend them.
